Litfont

Litfont is still in development — if you’re interested in collaborating or using it for a project feel free to get in touch.

Litfont is narrow, compact form with reduced ascenders and descenders not only gives the typeface its characteristic expression, but also enswables efficient use of space. The top-heavy letters become more balanced when viewed from above, creating a playful, slightly humorous charm. Arrows, decorative elements, and currency symbols reflect the capitalist, flashy expression of the advertising world.

From advertising columns to font and back again

In March 2025, Litfont found its way onto the column in the courtyard of the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design, thus returning to its original context. The advertising column becomes an object of analysis, a typographic experimental arrangement and a user manual for itself. What content is placed on the column? How is a column used? How can a designer understand a column? A fascination with the subject of advertising columns, which I still pursue today.
